Tacky Bead Wrap
Bead Wrap Tape is a critical reinforcement component used in the bead area of the tyres, where it wraps around the bead bundle to secure the bead wires, improve structural integrity, and facilitate efficient load transfer between the tyre carcass and the rim.
It enhances bead durability, resists abrasion during mounting and demounting, prevents wire separation, and helps maintain dimensional stability under repeated cyclic loading. As the bead is one of the highest stress concentration zones in a tyre, the performance of the bead wrap tape plays a vital role in ensuring tyre safety, handling, durability, and long-term reliability across passenger car, truck, bus, agricultural, off-highway, and industrial tyres.

GDPT's proprietary multi-stage dipping and curing technology is engineered to maximise reinforcement performance throughout the tyre manufacturing process. Carefully controlled multi-stage Resin-RFL (Resorcinol-Formaldehyde-Latex) impregnation, combined with optimised thermal curing profiles, provides excellent green tack for secure positioning during tyre building while simultaneously promoting deep rubber adhesion during vulcanisation. This results in enhanced interfacial bonding, improved fatigue resistance, reduced delamination risk, and superior bead durability throughout the tyre's service life.
To further improve manufacturing efficiency, our controlled dip impregnation results in precise release of the tape to deliver smooth, controlled unwinding with consistent release forces, eliminating jerks, wrinkles, telescoping, and tension fluctuations during automated bead wrapping.
